Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ogbonna O. Onovo, has congratulated the new Commissioners of Police and wished them well. The Police high command has also approved the posting and transfer of 17 senior police officers, in the cadre of Assistant Commissioners of Police, to various commands and formations nationwide. IGP Ogbonna Onovo, charged the affected officers to consider their posting as regular exercises routinely carried out to give officers a better grasp on the job.He urged the transferees to put in their best in the places they are posted, and directed that taking and handing over ceremonies should be concluded by 9 November 2009. Those affected in the exercise and their new postings include Assistant Commissioners of Police Alhassan Mamuda (posted to 2I/C PMF Training, Gwoza), Ahmadu Dankano (A/CDR, Yola), Adarson Amodu (AC Provost, Force headquarters), Adamu Eluhu (A/CDR, Metro Bauchi State), Makama Hamisu (AC Establishment, Force Secretary), Godwin Bayo Okoro (AC CID, Yola), Okeannonife Innocent (X Squad Annex, Lagos), Chiawuba T. Isiakpona (AFS ForceSec, Force Headquarters), and Christian Onwuka (A/CDR, Nuskka, Enugu State). Others affected in the new postings are Assistant Commissioners Ignatius Amaechi (A/CDR, Jos Metro), Yunana Musa (AC P&G, ‘B’ Department, Force Headquarters) Bernard K. Akpenyi (AC OPS, Yenegoa), Daniel U. Umoh (AC ‘A’, Yenegoa), Sunmonu A. Abdul-Malik (A/CDR, Potiskum, Yobe State), Mohammed A. Mustapha (AC CDR Wukari, Taraba State), Mohammed L. Bageda (AC CID, Kebbi), and Alkasim Sanusi (AC ‘A’ Gusau, Zamfara State).
